We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data and AI Engineer with expertise in data science, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, particularly Power BI, and proficiency in R and Python programming languages. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business insights and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data ecosystem.
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualise data insights and trends for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Perform data analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights that drive business value.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and BI technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our business.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party AI/ML libraries, frameworks, and tools to enhance our data science capabilities and accelerate development timelines.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a data engineer, data scientist, or AI engineer in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python, with experience in building and deploying machine learning models and statistical analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and report/dashboard development.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and experience with cloud-based data services and solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies.
