We have a brilliant opportunity for a talented and dynamic Magazine Editorial Designer to join our team of creatives – crafting stunning editorial features, front covers and social assets for our portfolio of digital magazines.
To help us achieve our mission of Connecting the World’s Digital Leaders; the successful candidate will work with graphics and images as a visual story-teller, understand editorial layout design, and have great attention to detail – as they will ultimately be responsible for the visual guardianship of their brand(s). Ideally, they will have a few years of experience working in a design studio, with digital products, and be able to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously, while managing the expectations of stakeholders.

Main Purpose of Role
To create a broad range of editorial features for a portfolio of b2b/b2c digital magazines with global audiences. Working with worldwide sector-leading businesses and brands, the ideal candidate will have studio experience working with editors, and be comfortable sourcing and art-editing imagery that tells a story.

Working with client content; creating social assets for the brands you work with; on an individual level within a team environment.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, from editors to sales colleagues, to design compelling multimedia digital magazines and associated supporting content and assets for our global clients and audiences.
- Follow and help to develop editorial templates, processes and production procedures to ensure efficient workflows and timely delivery.
- Work effectively with production managers and editors to iterate designs and make corrections based on stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare magazines technically for publication, including a booking process of combining documents and generating final PDF output, complete with outbound links.
- Upload the magazines and brochures for distribution.
- Become the visual brand-guardian for the publication(s) you work with.

- Maintain the company’s policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and Data Protection.
- Adhere to the company’s dress code & working hours.
- Be aware of and have a duty to comply with the company’s Health & Safety rules and procedures. Bring to the attention of Line Manager any health and safety issues.
- Attend Design Department & Sector meetings as required.

Required
- GCSE or higher in Maths and English.
- Degree in design-related subject matter; or equal professional industry experience.
- Minimum 12 months experience in a design studio environment.
- Proven professional experience in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe Creative Suite and Google workspace.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Confident to articulate issues to various other team members and staff.
- Positive outlook.
- Good organisational skills.
- Work effectively as a team player and independently.
- Self-motivated, and happy to encourage others.
- Ability to manage and prioritise jobs.
- Be accommodating and flexible towards the workload when required.
- Be presentable and smartly dressed at all times.
